Here you’ll find everything you need to know about the process and all key dates to put straight into your calendar. Also check our eligibility requirements to make sure you qualify.

Nominate your organisation - 22 August - 14 October 2022

To nominate, you just need to answer a few short questions about your organisation. It takes only a few minutes and is FREE to do, so you’ve got absolutely nothing to lose! You can do it right here, right now.

Find out if you made the shortlist - 17 October 2022

If you are lucky enough to make our shortlist – congratulations! You’ll be contacted and invited to move forward to Stage Two which requires you to complete a more detailed submission, and puts you in the running for the official published lists.

Accept your invitation - 17 October - 4 November 2022

Congratulations on making it to Stage Two! At this point, to continue with the awards, you’ll need to accept your invitation and pay an entry fee. The entry fee includes:

  • Consideration for overall and industry lists;
  • Consideration for all special award categories;
  • Your bespoke Best Places to Work benchmarking report.
  • If you are successful in ranking, you’ll also receive a marketing kit to help leverage your achievement.

The entry fees are based on the number of employees at your organisation. 20-99 = $2700 + gst, 100-499 = $3800 + gst, 500+ = $4900 + gst.

As soon as you have paid your entry fee, you’ll be able to start your submission. The latest date to accept your invitation is 4 November.

Complete your submission by 2nd December

Staff will be required to complete a short survey (7-8 minutes) and your Human Resources representative will need to answer some questions about policies and procedures at your organisation by December 2nd to be considered for the final published lists. After this time, a team of expert judges and Inventium analysts will assess and analyse your submission and compile the final rankings for publication. Due diligence will also happen during this time.

Awards night - 20 April 2023

Join us in for a fabulous evening in Sydney as we announce our winners live and celebrate the amazing work of all of our entrants. Specific details about the awards night including ticketing will be made available in early 2023

Publication - 21 April 2023

The full lists, special award winners and extensive additional coverage will be published across The Australian Financial Review, afr.com and BOSS Magazine on April 21, 2023. On this day you’ll also receive your bespoke Best Places to Work benchmarking report, and marketing kit.

Eligibility

Entry is open to:

  • Australian/New Zealand based companies
  • Australian/New Zealand offices of global organisations 
  • Government departments and agencies
  • Not-for-profits

To qualify you must:

  • Have at least 20 permanent full time/part-time employees as at October 14, 2022
  • Have been in operation for at least 1 year as at October 14, 2022.
