Accenture believes that the future workforce should be an equal one, and they have taken effective first steps to not only increase diversity, but also reduce skills shortages. The Accelerating equality at Accenture through inclusive recruitment initiative embeds innovative recruitment practices, strategic partnerships, removes the necessity of tertiary education and creates alternative pathways to attract talent. Some of these include programs to recruit and upskill individuals returning to work, neurodiverse individuals, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, veterans and underemployed Australians.

The impact of the inclusive recruitment initiative is best demonstrated by the “Return to Work Academy” which has facilitated a more than doubling of applications from women for cloud consulting roles.
