Hotglue updated their work-from-home policy at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to enable them to continue to grow the business during a turbulent time. The policy has only one rule: “You must be contactable during business hours”. The flexibility gave staff the freedom to work from anywhere and not feel tied to their desks. Staff are encouraged to work from parks, beaches, cafes or anywhere that breaks up the day. Hotglue has employed six new staff since March 2020 (a 28% increase in total staff) and have not lost any staff in the same period.
