SHAPE has redefined its purpose and vision to place people at the core by concentrating on building and improving leadership capabilities at the individual, group and organisational level. It defined and communicated the desired behaviours to be a SHAPE leader and has consulted with employees and redesigned the performance appraisal system to align with the company purpose. Each state leadership team then developed a leadership commitment to ensure that every person at SHAPE receives a consistent and positive experience around their career development and experience. Finally, leadership and cultural improvement objectives were added to the company’s balanced scorecard and aligned to the senior leadership team KPI’s to measure progress.
